The Layar - Designer Villas and Spa, CHSE Certified

We found the proximity to great restaurants, shopping and bars was amazing. The staff were a standout. All of them were so friendly, helpful, engaging and always happy to see us. We stayed in a three bedroom villa where the open plan living area and connection to the pool was amazing. The pool kept us cool during the day and at night the air conditioned bedrooms made sure we were very comfortable when we wanted to sleep. We also enjoyed a great selection from the menu for breakfast every morning in our villa. Overall we loved our time at The Layer and will definitely return.

We have stayed at The Layar a number of times. The lush green gardens and the spacious rooms and sunny pools keep bringing us back Having a restaurant on site provides convenience and food choice and quality is good so you can maximise your enjoyment time in your Villa The rooms are clean and serviced twice daily by friendly staff who are in and out in no time so there is minimal intrusion The property is set back from the road so peace and quiet is guaranteed This is a high quality experience and close to all of the famous Seminyak restaurants

We have stayed at The Layar previously and always enjoy it. On this occasion we did note that the property is not being maintained as well as it could be. Boards in the decks were rotting, timber roof tiles were not being replaced amongst a variety of smaller, other things. Not enough problems however, not to consider revisiting as we love this property.

- Staff were great and helpful and instantly attended calls/messages and any special requests - Location was great and close to many shops & malls and can easily get a taxi to the parking area. - The place was quiet and far from the roads. - The kids enjoyed the pool during warm days.

I decided to spend my last day in Bali in The Layar to relax with my girlfriend before flying back to Italy; I wish I’d done it for the last three days!! I’ve been in private villas before in Bali but a villa in a 5 stars resort is next level. As soon as you arrive in the tree covered driveway, you’re caught buy a sense of calmness. Despite being in the centre of Seminyak you hardly hear any noise. The advantages of a private villas (your own pool and garden above all) are much more enjoyable with 5 star hotel service: pick up the phone for a fantastic in villa massage, order room service and a good glass of wine. The villa itself is amazing, the pool is so large that could be still good for a two-bedroom villa. Morning yoga on the pool deck with birds chirping and sun filtering through the vegetation didn’t made me miss much my favourite shala in Ubud. We were planning to leave just for sunset and dinner… we ended up staying in the villa till dark and dining at the Italian restaurant within the resort; as Italian and vegan I can highly recommend it. We’ll be back!
